Why Buy a Lightweight Stroller?
A lightweight stroller is a great option for parents who appreciate portability, flexibility and cost. It's also a good choice for those who may suffer from back pain or discomfort while pushing or carrying a heavier stroller.
In our stroller testing, we evaluated many different strollers that are lightweight. We looked at the following features:
Easy to Assemble
A stroller that is lightweight is a great option for parents who are always in motion. They are designed to be swift and easy to put together, fold, carry, and store. Many have an extension canopy that protects your child from the rain and sun. They are great for navigating busy roads, crowded malls and public transport.
It is crucial to take into consideration the weight and age of the stroller when choosing one. Most single-seat strollers that are lightweight are designed for children of up to 55 pounds. They usually don't accommodate infant car seats, but some do allow to add a bassinet style seat for babies who aren't able to sit up. In addition, choose a stroller that offers plenty of padding in the seat, a recline mechanism, and a large canopy to shield your child from the elements.
Some lightweight strollers can be assembled straight out of the box making them easy to use. Some strollers that are lightweight like the Contours Itsy are only 12.3 pounds in weight and fold easily by pressing a button. This stroller that is lightweight can be easily carried by a padded strap that attaches to the back seat.
The Thule Shine stroller is another lightweight stroller that comes with all of the features you'd expect from a stroller. It has a large canopy and UPF 50+ protection. It was great that the Newborn Pack can be purchased separately and used exclusively for newborns. The telescoping handlebar is easy to adjust and can be set to accommodate different heights. It can also fit in the overhead bins on many planes. The only drawback is that it does not have a leg rest to support your toddler and the storage space is less than our other strollers that are lightweight alternatives.

Some of the top travel strollers also have a carry strap and an undercarriage that is large enough for storage.
The Kolcraft Cloud Plus is one of the most simple models to fold. It can be done with one hand and even while your child is inside (although this is not recommended).
